CAN I CUSTOMIZE MY GIFT BOX?
Of course. If you would like to substitute an item, hit a certain price point or request specific packaging, please send a note to firstname.lastname@example.org or submit your inquiry on our CUSTOM page and reference the gift box that you would like to customize and/or any products that you are interested in including. Please note that some substitutions and additions may incur additional costs.
HOW IS A B.STOW GIFT BOX PACKAGED?
Our packaging is simple, yet elegant, and is suited for all tastes and genders. All of our boxes are designed to be reused for a variety of uses and other occasions - thus no printing on the boxes themselves - and all packaging is either from recycled products and/or is recyclable or biodegradable itself. (Scroll down for more details on our sustainable practices.)
At our discretion, each gift box is carefully hand packaged in a black or white rigid paperboard box with white, black or grey fine paper shred, interior tissue wrapping in black or charcoal grey, and completed with a black or grey satin ribbon. If you have any special packaging requests, please use the Notes section in your Cart to describe the request, and we will do our best to accommodate.
All gifts include a handwritten card of your choosing (card option is selected along with gift box) with your personalized message. You also have the option to choose a simple gift tag noting just your name and the name of your recipient.
Please note that any breakable items, including glass and ceramics, will be individually, yet still beautifully, wrapped to protect them for transport within your gift box.
WHAT EFFORTS DOES B.STOW TAKE TO REDUCE THEIR FOOTPRINT?
While we understand that our business calls for quite a bit of packing material, we try to decrease our footprint wherever we can by using the following materials:
• Paper shred made from 100% recycled content from paper mills with the Forest Stewardship Council Chain-of-Custody Standard certification and is completely compostable after use.
• Sustainably made packing peanuts that are biodegradable - just add water.
• Bubble wrap (used in moderation) that is made of 30% recycled plastics and can be recycled at any plastic film recycling facility (find yours here). For those in San Francisco, you can simply place the bubble wrap in your blue recycling bin and Recology will sort it. Read more of what goes where at sfrecycles.org.

MY BOX ORDER IS A GIFT - WILL IT SHOW ANY PRICING INFORMATION?
No. We do not include any packing slips, invoice copies or pricing information in any of our gift box orders.
SHIPPING + RETURNS
HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY ORDER TO SHIP?
Orders are typically processed the following business day and shipped from our office in San Francisco via your choice of shipping method. Once your order is prepared for shipment, you will receive an email confirmation with the tracking information and the expected delivery date.
Please note that during particularly busy seasons, such as during the holidays, orders can take 1 to 3 business days to process.
DO YOU REQUIRE A SIGNATURE FOR DELIVERY?
By default, packages are sent WITHOUT the requirement of a signature for delivery. Should you like to require a signature, please make note of it in the Notes section of your Cart prior to check-out.
WHAT IF I NEED MY ORDER DELIVERED ON OR BY A CERTAIN DATE?
Not a problem! If your order is to be delivered at a future date and does not need to be immediately shipped out, please note the date of requested delivery in the Notes section of your Cart - we will hold on to your gift and ship it out accordingly to ensure it arrives when expected.
If the date you are requesting is more immediate in nature, please send an email at firstname.lastname@example.org to confirm that we are able to get your package out in time to its intended location. In this case, additional costs for expedited shipping may be incurred.
DOES B.STOW OFFER HAND DELIVERY?
Yes. For orders of 6+ boxes or over $500, we offer free hand delivery within the San Francisco area. To see if your order would qualify, please email email@example.com.
WHAT ABOUT SHIPPING INTERNATIONALLY?
While we only offer domestic shipping on our website, we can certainly ship your gift throughout the world. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to arrange for international shipping.
Due to the custom nature of each gift box, we do not accept returns. BUT our main goal is that both you and your recipient are happy, so if any portion of your service is unsatisfactory or if any items arrived damaged, please let us know as soon as possible by emailing email@example.com and we will do our very best to resolve the issue.
HOW DO I PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE DO I NEED TO PLACE A CUSTOM ORDER?
For single custom orders of in-stock items, we can typically create and ship your gift within 1 to 2 business days, depending on the demands of the season.
If your custom order is for more than 5 boxes and/or includes any special order items, we require at least 2 weeks in advance, not including shipping time.
For larger orders or orders requesting branded and/or customized items, we recommend submitting your request at least 4 weeks in advance, although we prefer 5 or 6 weeks to allow for shipping time.
Any orders submitted under the recommended time frames will certainly be considered, but cannot be guaranteed. If you have any questions regarding a custom order, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or submit your request on our CUSTOM order page.

DOES B.STOW GUARANTEE ANY WARRANTIES ON THE PRODUCTS IN A GIFT BOX?
As we are not the manufacturer of products contained in our gift boxes, we cannot guarantee the warranty on any products included. To mitigate the potential possibility of any recipient receiving faulty merchandise, we hand check the quality of each product prior to packaging and have made sure to partner with brands, both locally and globally, that produce goods of exceptional caliber. If you or your recipient experience any issues with a particular product, please contact us at email@example.com as soon as possible.
WILL MY RECIPIENT RECEIVE AN ORDER THAT LOOKS EXACTLY LIKE THE ONE PICTURED ON THE WEBSITE?
Usually, yes. Since many of our partners produce goods by hand and in small batches, typically free from the negative additives that help preserve a product and increase its shelf life, we order frequently and in small quantities to ensure that our recipients receive the best and freshest products. In the event that we do not have a specific product listed in a gift box in stock or inspected a product prior to packaging and found it to be below exceptional quality, we will use our discretion to substitute it with a comparable, both in value and aesthetic, product.
And, in the extremely rare case that a featured product of a gift box (or more than one product in said gift box) is unavailable at time of purchase, we will contact the purchaser immediately to notify them when the product(s) are expected to be back in stock, discuss a substitution for the product or distribute a credit or refund for the entire order.

WHAT IF MY RECIPIENT HAS AN ALLERGY OR SENSITIVITY TO ONE OF THE PRODUCTS LISTED IN A GIFT BOX?
Just let us know! We're sensitive to sensitivities, so whether your recipient is allergic to nuts, has Celiac Disease or has skin that reacts to certain scents, all you have to do is list it in the Notes section of your Cart prior to check out (which we will personally confirm that we received) and will make certain to substitute with a non-affecting, comparable product.
